Pawtucket is the informal craft beer and spirits capital of Rhode Island. One of the most recent regional alcohol business to launch is White Pet Distilling, a bar and distillery located in the historical Lorraine Mills on Mineral Spring Opportunity in Pawtucket. "White Pet dog is slang for moonshine," states one of the 4 partners, Alecia Catucci.

The distillery's tasting space opened in April of 2018 in what is now its present production room, a 350-square-foot space that had bar seating for four individuals and a standing-room-only flooring plan. Since September 2019, the distillery moved production to a 950-square-foot space in the exact same building, which permitted a bar plus great deals of lounge seating where they serve mixed drinks and tastings.
All four partners have professions in different fields, and three of them devote part of their time to the distillery. Carlo Catucci is a physics instructor and chair of the science department at Scituate High School, Silvestre works for the VA and Greene is an attorney. On the other hand, Alecia's primary focus is the distillery.
